Either download our Card Design Specifications which includes a template or reference the material below for artwork parameters.
Acceptable File Formats
Provide artwork files in Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign format. Otherwise, submit PC compatible files in PDF format.
Images
Provide all placed/linked images or embed/rasterize them. Save any submitted images as CMYK in either EPS or TIFF formats. Files supplied in RGB format will be converted to CMYK and can result in minor color shifts. Prevent accidental deletions by removing all objects placed as temporary guidelines or templates.
Image Quality
Image resolution should be 300 dpi minimum, 1200 DPI for line art. Lines need to be at least .25 pt in thickness.
Color
We offer CMYK 4 Color Process Printing as well as PMS Spot Color Printing at no additional charge (provided it is not an unusual color we have to special order). The heat-lamination process may cause colors to darken slightly when compared to a Matchprint proof.
Fonts
If certain that the work needs no adjustment by us, convert all type to outlines. Otherwise, include all printer and screen fonts used to create the artwork. Do not use the "style" menu to designate font style. Some fonts do not have a "bold", "italic" or "bold italic" versions and using the style menu could cause problems with the file output. Fonts should not be smaller than 6 pt.
Trapping
Trapping for heat-laminate card production may be set to the same tolerances used for offset printing. We use a .25 point spread for vector artwork.
Artwork Dimensions
- CARD SIZE: 3.375" x 2.125" with corners at .125" radius.
